Today I Learned . . . (2012-08-23)

Today I Learned . . .

1.  Clint Eastwood was offered the part of James Bond but turned it down because he thought the part should be played by a British actor

2.  "Airplane" was a remake of the 1957 (serious) movie "Zero Hour" and contains many of the same scenes and dialog

3.  There is a place in Minnesota where you can drive a tank and smash cars with it

4.  Josef Stalin was a big fan of cowboy movies and would often make underlings come watch movies with him, even in the middle of the night

5.  Blockbuster was given multiple offers to buy Netflix for 50 million dollars but always declined what would eventually become a 2 billion dollar company

6.  Drew Carey offered to donate money on behalf of anyone that could beat him at FIFA 2007

7.  Lee Harvey Oswald was originally charged with murdering the police officer that stopped him, and not John F. Kennedy
