After thinking about it for awhile, after someone told me they say a Porsche on Kijiji for well less than it was worth, because the owner couldn't figure out how to get into the dead battery, I emailed him to let him know it wasn't that hard to get to the battery in the front trunk.
I had a calm, measured response to the Bank of Nova Scotia representative that had to handle my file, fourth person, as I seek to renew my mortgage.

Do not lock your house with only a door knob lock. Someone that knows what they are doing can get through that in about 15 seconds, with hand tools and won't even look like he's struggling. You'd be robbed blind and it wouldn't even look like forced entry.
