The weird feature I've experienced the whole time I've owned an iPhone 6, where the icons will slide down the screen halfway ... is an actual feature of the phone, made to make the top row of buttons easier to reach (presumably when using the phone one-handed with the thumb as the touching element. This feature is, rather unimaginatively, called "Reachability".

I was leaving the Mac's tonight, fumbling with a large drink, keys and change. A little girl was coming in, saw me switching items from hand to hand. She stopped in her tracks, backed up and held the door open for me.
While I may have felt unnaturally tired all day, for the first time in a very long time I'm going to hit my actual, real target for going to bed.

Even though it was late, and I'd long since finished my yard work for the night, I went out at dusk, fixed the disconnected hose on the outdoor tap manifold, then sprayed down and cleaned up my job site on the front lawn from Saturday.
