Today I Learned . . .
"Maghreb" refers to Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia, which used to be part of the French colonial empire until the 1962 War of Independence created the Republic of Algeria.
The scene in "The Breakfast Club" where all the characters sit on the floor in a circle and tell stories about why they were in detention was not scripted. John Hughes told them all to ad-lib.
