The internet consensus is, human hair grows about 1/2" (1.25 [converted] cm) per month.
To --donate hair for cancer-- the hair must be:
- clean/dry and not swept off the floor
- free of any/all hair care products or "chemical" treatment
- provided in a "pony tail"
- be a minimum of 8 inches in length (as measured from the elastic to the tip of the hair)
