The Tampa Bay Buccaneers battled the Miami Dolphins in the Super Bowl  culmination of this year's Superstar season.  The Buccaneers, in need of QB help at the beginning of the season drafted left-hander Beavis Telk in the pre-season draft.  After a solid training camp and pre-season campaign, Beavis Telk was installed as the Buccaneers starting QB.

The Buccaneers battled through a gruelling regular season finishing 12-4-1, winning the NFC South and acquiring the #3 seed in the playoffs.  In round 1, the Buccaneers faced the Chicago Bears, and won comfortably 21-13.  This led to a face-off against the #2 seed San Francisco 49ers.  Again scoring 21 points, the Buccaneers extinguished the 49ers 21-6 on a marvelous effort by the defence.  The NFC Championship game was between Beavis Telk and his Buccaneers, facing off against the surprise Dallas Cowboys, who upset the Eagles.  The Buccaneers managed to take the Cowboys 24-14 and moved on to the Super Bowl, where the #6 Dolphins carried their Cinderella playoff run past the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Super Bowl began slow, with the teams exchanging punts.  As the second quarter opened Beavis Telk led the Bucs down the field on a solid touchdown march that ended with Telk's first TD pass of the day.  The Dolphins managed a field goal before half making the half-time score 7-3.  Coming out of the tunnel for the second half, Beavis Telk led the Bucs on a long touchdown drive, ending with a second TD pass.  The fourth quarter opened with the Dolphins going on a TD drive of their own that they ended with a 2-point convert, narrowing the difference to a field goal 14-11.

With half of the fourth quarter remaining, the Bucs got the ball.  Methodically moving down the field with a pounding ground game, mixed with a few short passes, the Bucs drained the clock, and all of the Dolphins time outs, moving the ball to the Dolphins 20.  With the last of their time outs gone, the Bucs ran a pair of final running plays to kill the rest of the clock and win the game 14-11.

Beavis Telk played an outstanding game at QB, ending the game with a QBR of 132,5.  This was on 19/22 passing for 188 yards and 2 touchdowns.  For this effort he was awarded the trophy for game MVP.
