Today I Learned . . . (2012-09-06)

Today I Learned . . .

1.  Research conducted suggests that the belief schizophrenics have that they are "hearing voices" may be the result of a "mis-calibration" in their perception of time.  By having a thought in the mind of a schizophrenic, before they "believe" they have thought it, may lead the schizophrenic to believe that the thought is not their own.  Thus the bulk of the malady may be an inability to appreciate that the thoughts in their head are actually their own.

2.  A British study found that adults with a purple color scheme in their bedroom have the most sex - on average 3.49 times per week.
